Ethernet Services

BTI packet platforms provide intelligent demarcation, extension, and aggregation functionality for simplified distribution of Ethernet and IP services. The portfolio provides end-to-end service delivery with Layer 2 access and Layer 1/2 converged core solutions.

Carrier Ethernet implementations provide increased service scalability and demarcation between customer and provider and offer Service Level Agreement (SLA) enforcement leveraging extensive service metrics, policing and metering capabilities. Remote performance monitoring and testing capabilities leverage standardized Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM), Connectivity Fault Management (CFM), and a suite of optical and Ethernet protocol performance monitoring for extensive network and service visibility, remote fault diagnosis, and service verification. The BTI 700 portfolio offers various platform options to address single- and multi-unit demarcation and fibered access network service delivery and aggregation solutions. Optical Wavelength Services

BTI solutions provide the full complement of required protocols and high capacity line rates offered within wavelength service portfolios. BTI 7000 Series dual transponder and muxponder modules provide significant value to service providers, offering density, high capacity, or line protection options for optical services without changing modules. Multiprotocol software-programmable service interfaces provide data-rate and protocol-independent support for the diverse optical transport protocol requirements. All client service modules leverage SFP/XFP-based service interfaces offering simple adaptation to address various client protocols and wavelengths with limited sparing. Integrated SONET/SDH/OTN encapsulation allows services to span other network environments to offer a broader reach for service offers.
