High-Capacity Multi-Service Packet Optical Platform

The BTI 7200 is a carrier-grade, robust networking platform designed to simplify the shift to packet-based services and provide the foundation for intelligent content networking. The high-capacity, plug-and-play platform is suited for terminal, ring interconnect, and network aggregation applications, and consolidates packet optical service delivery functionality to deliver high-density services and applications.

BTI 7200 is part of a comprehensive portfolio delivering end-to-end packet optical networking solutions that address campus, metro, and regional long-haul applications. It supports all active and passive modules within the BTI 7000 Series portfolio and seamlessly integrates with other BTI 7000 Series platforms as well as BTI 700 Series Ethernet Access Devices.  All are managed with the proNX Management Suite for a simplified, one-screen approach to service and network capacity management.

BTI’s primary multiservice platform offers six service slots that support the BTI 7000 Series’ full portfolio of packet and client service modules and photonic network building blocks. The compact platform is 2 rack units (2RU) and is capable of extending up to ten 10Gbps wavelengths. The BTI 7060 can address a broad range of applications and solutions and has the capability of incorporating an extension shelf architecture to provide up to 24 service slots managed as a single network entity (NE).

High-Capacity Packet Optical The BTI 7200 provides a dense optical private line and packet aggregation solution, supporting up to 380Gbps of 10G private line capacity over 100 GbE and 18 10GbE Carrier Ethernet ports, or a combination of optical and packet functionality, in a 7 Rack Unit (RU) form factor with 20 modular slots.

Flexible Shelf Architecture The platform offers modular utility for service connectivity and infrastructure applications, with an any-slot-any-module architecture to address diverse networking requirements and applications in a configuration that best fits your operational model.

Expansion Capabilities The BTI 7200 — expansion shelf architecture enables deployment of up to two additional 7200 shelves, providing a total of 59 service slots, managed as a single network entity through the BTI 7200 main shelf. This configuration addresses high-density 10G private line solutions in a less than a half-bay, 21RU form factor.
