Integrated Packet Services Modules
The packetVX™ (PVX) packet services module family provides an innovative approach for rapid delivery of new Ethernet-based services. Integrated into a BTI 7000 Series platform, the packetVX™ modules provide Ethernet service aggregation onto 10 Gbps Ethernet rings, coupling packet switching functionality with Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM). Managed as a module within the platform, the BTI 7000 Series’ packet service delivery capabilities dramatically simplify operations, management and provisioning of residential, video and Ethernet business services using a converged network approach.

Includes per flow packet classification, policing, marking, and mapping to delivery service classes; an extensive suite of Optical and Ethernet Performance Monitoring (PMs) simplifies SLA performance monitoring and enables various classes of service or convergence of different applications on the same packet infrastructure.
IPTV and HD Video Delivery
Embedded hardware based video processing delivers affordable, scalable, high performance video delivery. Purpose built hardware processing of channel change and VOD transactions ensures responsive and consistent delivery of service requests.
Simplified Provisioning and Sparing
Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) client and 10G SFP (XFP) line optics and software programmable ports enable packetVX™ modules to address any client mix and connect over supported ITU-T WDM wavelengths.
