Features
Switch
Integrated packetVX packet service modules provide rapid provisioning and delivering of Ethernet connectivity without the need for separate Ethernet switches. The packetVX, as a Carrier Ethernet solution, provides increased service scalability and demarcation between customer and provider and offers SLA (Service Level Agreement) enforcement leveraging extensive service metrics, policing and metering capabilities.
Aggregate
Muxponder client service modules enable efficient combination of services by multiplexing a wide range of protocols onto the same 10Gbps or 2.5Gbps wavelength. The muxponders' innovative distributed add/drop capabilities leverage ring-based line mapping modes and the integrated switch fabric to share a wavelength between multiple sites on a WDM ring and cross connect client services between any location.
Connect
Transponder client service modules provide dedicated, high capacity interconnect at a variety of line rates up to 10Gbps. BTI’s dual transponder—two-transponder-in-one—architecture offers high density extension of two independent client protocols or resilient 1+1 facility protection of a single client service. As with all client service modules, multiprotocol software programmable, pluggable (SFP/XFP) client and network interfaces provide versatility, easily adapt modules to any network environment and simplify sparing.
Extend
Client service modules leverage transparent, SONET/SDH, or ITU-T G.709 Optical Transport Network (OTN) line mapping strategies that provide convergence, network interoperability, extended reach, and simplified operational models for network administration, performance monitoring and in-band management. A full optical toolkit offering reach extension and specialized network multiplexing modules allows the BTI 7000 to address a diverse range of physical network and signal reach requirements.
Converge
Leverage WDM virtual fiber to maximize fiber capacity with 10Gbps-capable CWDM (16λ), DWDM (40λ), or hybrid infrastructures. Address site and network capacity, reduce physical fiber infrastructure requirements, converge separate, application-specific networks and eliminate reactionary, capacity-driven network overlays.
Manage
The proNX Management Suite delivers intuitive end-to-end monitoring, control, provisioning, and planning of network infrastructure and services across the BTI portfolio. Service-oriented performance monitoring provides extensive visibility to the network and the services delivered over it.
