BTI Systems Introduces Enterprise Partner Program

Program supports easy build out of converged infrastructures

Ottawa. Canada—Monday, April 28, 2008 // BTI Systems, a global supplier of Packet Optical Edge solutions for the delivery of Gigabit services, today announced the launch of its Enterprise Partner Program.  The program will enable system integrators (SI) and value added resellers (VARs) to deliver easy-to-build converged, carrier-grade Packet and WDM infrastructures for voice, video, data, and storage connectivity solutions to enterprises.

BTI’s Enterprise Partner Program is providing partners with a powerful set of tools which are perfectly suited for the build out of infrastructures in enterprise networks.  The program is ensuring that BTI’s partners can leverage the full value of integrated Packet Optical technology to deliver solutions at less than half the cost of typical Metro systems on the market.

“As enterprises continue to increase their focus on IT efficiency, consolidation and regulatory compliance, it is essential that they have the tools available to build strong information distribution infrastructures,” said Glenn Thurston, Vice President of Corporate Marketing, BTI Systems.  “Metro networks are a critical piece of the infrastructure, and converged Packet plus Optical solutions add a new, powerful technology for enterprise IT managers to cost effectively scale their networks for Ethernet LAN extension, disaster recovery, and business continuity applications.”

Unlike alternative metro WDM solutions, BTI can work with enterprises to reduce network layers, simplify OAM&P, and realize significant CAPEX and OPEX benefits.  Through BTI’s partner program, enterprises will be able to address the increasing demand for multiple services, greater transport capacity, dynamic networking, and management simplicity.

The BTI Enterprise Partner Program is offering SIs and VARs the financial incentives and tools to build a profitable business selling BTI solutions into their enterprise customer base.  Incentives include joint sales and marketing support, priority online and live tech support, access to design tools and ongoing training options.

About BTI Systems
BTI Systems helps service providers respond rapidly and cost-effectively to the demand for bandwidth growth in today’s gigabit world.  BTI provides packet enabled fiber optic systems to expand network fiber capacity by 100X to support the increase in network traffic driven by rich video applications and media content.  BTI’s 7000 Series — the industry’s first Packet Optical Edge system — extends high-bandwidth packet and optical transport services to the Optical Edge.  By consolidating key transport capabilities (DWDM/CWDM, optical multiplexing, amplification, dispersion compensation, transponding and muxponding) with a powerful hardware based packet engine in a 2U platform, the BTI 7000 meets the stringent quality and usability requirements of service providers enabling them to dramatically improve the economics of delivering today’s bandwidth hungry broadband internet, video and wireless services.  For more information, visit www.btisystems.com.
