Ontario Global Traders Awards 2005 Regional Award, Market Expansion - Product Category

Ottawa, Canada—Wednesday, April 26, 2006 // The Ontario Global Traders Awards program was launched in 1998 by the Government of Ontario to recognize and celebrate export success in Ontario. It is Ontario’s first awards program to recognize outstanding exporting achievement for small and medium-sized enterprises leaders and students. This is the eighth year of the awards.

BTI Photonic Systems was awarded the Bronze award in the Market Expansion – Product category. Companies eligible for the award are Ontario-based small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that:

• have annual sales of less than $100 million
• have a maximum of 200 employees
• have been in business a minimum of three fiscal years
• are exporting and have established a presence in one or more
  geographic markets
• have export sales which account for a minimum of 15 per cent of total sales
