packetVX in Soccer Frenzy

Posted June 16, 2010 by Glenn Thurston

I was talking to one of our installation team who was off on a project in London in the early part of June.  He had been busy turning up a set of GE networks for one of our customers with our Layer 2 Ethernet services modules – packetVX.  Most of the feeds were coming in from South Africa.

One can speculate that:

  1. a GE from South Africa
  2. in the month of June

Would have a pretty specific use for video feed from a rather large sporting event.  We are thrilled to be a part of this great event.

It’s great to see South Africa putting on such a great show.  So far no Vuvuzela have been spotted in our offices here in Canada  – but you can hear them down at the major pubs when live / rebroadcasts are run.
